Welcome to NewHope Playspace.
NewHope is a completely re-visioned church that establishes and nurtures communities of hope in Melbourne. We are passionate about the individual and social transformation that emerges from following Jesus in community. We serve from many geographic locations (e.g. 3 campuses, scores of homes & businesses) and through numerous cooperative enterprises (e.g. preschool, child care, medical centre, café, events business, sports program, community care) to advance the mission of God and embody contemporary expressions of the gospel of Jesus in our region.
At NewHope we help people find that path and stay on it.
Unlike the gold at the end of the rainbow, deep, eternal, life-giving hope is real. God is the source of this awesome hope and he wants every person to have it.
NewHope is made up of more than 150 Communities of Hope and our vision is to grow 100s more in the coming decade. From worship gatherings to English classes (ESL), from soccer to singing, from children to seniors – we form life giving communities and there is a place for you. NewHope has ‘rolling’ 5 year and 25 year vision statements which help us to focus forward with bold and faith-filled hope. They are reviewed, updated and shared each year as part of our strategic planning and leadership development processes. These are not ‘boasts’ of what we will do, rather they are expressions of what we are praying for and dreaming about as a consequent of the things we are faithfully doing today.
