The Cottage

The Cottage was the first farm stay accommodation facility to be developed. As a four bedroom two bathroom house it has proved to be very popular with families. It is complemented by a large verandah for outdoor eating and entertaining. In addition the garden is fenced and provides a great playground for young children and guests pets. The Cottage" was remodelled in 2010 with new paint, kitchen, bathroom and flooring.

The Dairy

Details

In the 1990's the old milking shed, now called "The Dairy", was completely rebuilt within the confines of the original walls and replaced "The Cottage" as the main residence for 10 years. Jim and Lesley both have a background in horticulture and carefully created the wonderful acre of garden that accompanies "The Dairy" with Roberts Creek framing it.

The Loft

Details

In 2008, a former tobacco kiln was developed into "The Loft". The high pitch of the kiln allowed a unique mezzanine floor to be built making it a very cosy two bedroom apartment for single or double couples or smaller families. "The Loft" also has a large fenced garden for guests pets.

The Peacock Barn

Details

The Peacock Barn came about with major modifications to a large storage barn. This included adding the kitchen, bathrooms, dining and living areas, and became known as "The Peacock Barn", providing family accommodation. The Peacock Barn partly because of its large open spaces was developed with disabled needs in mind and is accredited as being accessible to people of all abilities.

This farmstay is nestled into a delightful secluded valley 5 minutes from Bright, Victoria, Australia – in the Alpine Region.

We offer very comfortable and accessible Farmstay accommodation, meeting the farm holiday needs of couples, families and special interest groups. We have four fully self contained facilities with extensive recreation areas. We are accessible for people of all abilities and pets are welcome by arrangement.

Come and enjoy a farm stay in “The Dairy”, “The Cottage”, “The Peacock Barn” or “The Loft” and share the beauty and spectacle of our farm holiday property and region.

This picturesque 100 acre property is home to a variety of traditional and rare breeds of farm animals including Scottish Highland cattle, Clydesdale horses, Shetland and Miniature ponies, Sulfolk and Damara sheep (no shearing and fat tails), alpacas, pigs a variety of goat breeds and poultry (chooks, turkeys, peacocks, geese and ducks).

Guests are welcome to participate in the feeding of our many friendly animals, especially the poultry, bunnies, guinea pigs, ” Lola”, ” Harrison” and “Portia” the pet pigs and Josephine and Valentine the Miniature and Shetland ponies. Riding or Pony Cart rides are available by prior arrangement for a small charge. Please note that they are not always available due to unfavourable weather or unsafe conditions.

A lovely stream runs through the property, where the trout are abundant, and the elusive platypus has been spotted splashing about. We have a magnificent lake that is stocked with perch, bass and murray cod. It also hosts many different water birds, at times black swans will stay and raise their families, cormorants, moorhens and a variety of ducks call it home as well.

It has facilities that are popular with special interest groups such as cyclists, anglers, artists, photographers, para gliders, gardeners, bush walkers, bird watchers, horse riders, disabled groups, and people just wanting to get away and have a relaxing holiday.
