Toorongo River Chalets is one of the closest providers of accommodation to Mt. Baw Baw and a short drive from Noojee.
Originally built by a miniature train enthusiast, it was an ambitious attempt to get a railway line all the way to Toorongo Falls. Manna Gum and Tree Fern, designed for couples, are located in what was originally intended to be a train shed. More recently, this has been converted in to the two modern chalets you see today, maintaining a tribute to the history of the property.
The property has 165 acres to explore, enough for a lot of privacy and some chance wildlife encounters. In fact the property is a sanctuary for plants and wildlife, with many exotic birds and native animals present for those on the lookout. Some of Gippsland’s best attractions can be found within 40 minutes drive from the chalets, including Mt Baw Baw, the Toorongo Falls, the Ada tree, the trestle bridge, wineries, and fine dining.
